Antivirus False Positive Solutions

Suucar is a low-level network/USB mapping tool and may be flagged by some antivirus products. Follow the steps below to install and run normally.

Important: Close every third-party antivirus tool except Huorong (火绒), a lightweight AV commonly used in China. After these steps, add Suucar Mapping to exclusions, then download and run it again.

Exit other antivirus / security suites

Fully quit (tray icon → Exit / turn off protection) the products below. Uninstall is usually not needed.

Quit / avoid running together

  • ·Find the AV icon in the system tray → right-click → Exit / turn off protection.
  • ·Some tools leave residual processes—end them in Task Manager if needed.
  • ·Do not run multiple AV products at once; it increases false positives and conflicts.

Turn off Windows Security real-time protection

With Windows Security, temporarily disable real-time protection, cloud-delivered protection, and tamper protection so exclusions can be added and kept.

  1. 1 Search for “Windows Security” and open the app.
  2. 2 Go to Virus & threat protection → Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings.
  3. 3 Turn off Tamper Protection first (admin prompt). This allows other switches to stay off.
  4. 4 Turn off Real-time protection, Cloud-delivered protection, and Automatic sample submission. Accept UAC if prompted.
  5. 5 Note: Real-time protection may turn itself back on later. You can re-enable it after exclusions are added.

Add Suucar to exclusions

Exclusions tell Windows Security to skip scanning selected files/folders so they are not quarantined again.

  1. 1 Still under Virus & threat protection settings, open Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions.
  2. 2 Click Add an exclusion — File, Folder, File type, or Process.

    Recommended:
    • · Installer file Suucar.exe
    • · Install folder（e.g. C:\Program Files\Suucar）
    • · Installer in Downloads（the file in your Downloads folder）
  4. 4 Also exclude SoftEther / USB share install folders if you use them.
  5. 5 After adding exclusions, you may turn Real-time protection and Tamper Protection back on.

Re-download and install

If the package was quarantined or deleted, get a fresh copy from the official download page and run as administrator.

Additional notes

  • ·Managed PCs may block Tamper Protection changes—ask IT to whitelist Suucar. Windows Security steps apply worldwide; the third-party list below is mainly brands common in China.
  • ·If Windows Firewall prompts, allow Suucar on Private networks.
  • ·You can re-enable real-time protection afterward; exclusions usually remain.
